Nicely done, as usual. Curious as to why you decided against using the extra hat layer for adding some head-shape, though.

One more thing - you can just use SkinEdit for this - on the eyes, adjust the brightness and saturation up 2 bits each space, working in from the outside to the center, to make them 'glow' more.

I didn't use the hat layer for this one because I thought it would be too large, but I guess I could experiment with it.

Also, I did make the eyes brighter, but should I add a subtle glow around the eyes too?

It's up to you. I used to hate the hat layer, not I use it with some frequency. On the eyes, if you do the colors right, you don't need to add a glow. For an example, check out my DeadSpace skins.

Do you think it works here or does it still need a little bit more tuning?

And do you know why the 2D picture doesn't change when you update the skin? It never updates for my skins for some reason.

It's a browser thing. Internet browsers store pictures temporarily, you have to manually clear them out to see the update. Nothing that can be done about that.

It works fine, I mean it looks good enough as it is for sure! Appears that you have some trolls downvoting your work, though.
