When the universe is in peril, mild-mannered elementary school student Billy Blaze dawns his older brother's football helmet and becomes...Commander Keen, defender of the universe! Armed with his Neural Stunner and Pogo Stick, he flies throughout the universe in his Bean-With-Bacon Megarocket, fighting for truth, justice, and peace among all alien species.

Last we left Billy Blaze, he had just saved his babysitter, Molly McMire, from being eaten by the aliens of Fribbulus Xax. Finding out from Molly that her brother and his arch-nemesis, Mortimer McMire, was not only still alive but planned to destroy the universe itself, Keen flies off to a remote corner of the galaxy to do battle. Unfortunately, Keen ends up taking a wrong turn at the Brahe constellation and was sent spiraling out of control through time and space via wormhole!
Now, with his spaceship destroyed and no way to return home, Keen must gather up materials from the surrounding hills and valleys in order to construct a new ship capable of getting him back on the right track. Unfortunately, nothing is ever easy, for at night, Keen faces an unending horde of the undead, self-destructing automatons, and giant spiders...
