Dain Ironfoot was the Dwarvish King who took the empty throne after the death of Thorin Oakenshield at the end of The Hobbit (possible spoiler?), but as with any book to movie adaption, Thorin's fate may change. Dain will be portrayed by Billy Connolly, who, ironically, has never read the books and does not like the "Tolkien purists" who have.
