My attempt for the contest. Any ideas for it will be admired.
Diary page one:
Year 2012 9th of May. 4 PM.
It has been some weeks since the first plague reached us. I saw when me and some other survivors fled with that truck a car with a woman, a man and two small girls. Probably family. The infected who did that looked like they were overwhelmed when they were alive. The infected, even the sound of that word shivers my bones. This old fort we are living has no other entrance then the front gate and some ladders. I'm glad that those what the people call "The Infected" can't climb ladders. It saved some people's behinds more then a few times. The big wooden gate has been barred with everything we can spare.
Two days ago some kind of merchant entered the fort. He said he had a "cure" for the infected. Some person named Dick Lowell tried it out. He walked outside, thought the cure would hold them away but it seems it was just water. He was a bully in my childhood so he won't be missed by me but still. We must stay together for survival. Tomarrow me and some other men will get in that old truck and look for survivors. Aslong our guns are loyal we will stand. Who ever thought of that? From an always bullied person in childhood to a teenager with some people I could trust to eventually a person who worked in an office and must now find against a horde of undead monstrosities. I'm actully kinda scared but who isn't? I just hope I get some good night sleep. I will do a small prayer before my leave.
