Doctor Strange is a unique Marvel superhero in that he isn't really a conventional superhero at all- he's a sorcerer (the Sorcerer Supreme, in fact) armed with the all-seeing Eye of Agamotto and the Cloak of Levitation. Operating out of his Sanctum Sanctorum in New York City, he uses spells and enchantments to defend the world from mystical dangers like Dormammu, the lord of the Dark Dimension!
