Physical Description: 1.72 m tall, 73 kg, salt-and-pepper hair, slightly balding. Sometimes sports a goatee with a thin mustache, and wears round-lens glasses. Dresses in elegant suits that are preferably exorbitantly expensive.

Field: As head of censorship and disinformation operations, Dr. Gemini works closely with the Department of External Affairs and the Scientific Department. His primary role is to study SCPs in depth in order to craft plausible cover stories and credible containment procedures for the general public.


Specialization: Uncontained SCPs / SCPs whose effects have been witnessed by the public.


Biography: Dr. Octavio Gemini first came to the Foundation’s attention following the containment breach of 09/12/1985 near ██████, Italy.


When the Foundation’s disinformation teams failed to produce a plausible scenario to cover the event for the public (due to numerous factors such as the scale of the breach, the nature of the escaped SCPs, the impossibility of using amnestics, budget cuts, and the [DATA EXPUNGED] of the many witnesses), Gemini — then a recent graduate in psychology and social sciences — published a treatise that rationally explained the events. His analysis drew (among other things) on crowd dynamics, climate change, the economic collapse of the lettuce market, and the conditions of cosmetic testing on animals.


The treatise appealed both to the public and the Foundation, and three days later recruitment agents offered him a position within the Foundation’s disinformation and propaganda operations.


Gemini subsequently distinguished himself through his talent as a “smooth talker,” as he calls himself, covering up incidents and the existence of numerous uncontained SCPs with explanations even less credible and less probable — yet which he somehow managed to make widely accepted. The methods by which he convinces the public of the unjustifiable are still under study by the Rhetoric Department.


He played a key role in several large-scale disinformation plans, notably assisting in the implementation of Operation Scarlet Rose.


In addition, Dr. Gemini writes part of the SCP reports he studies and occasionally participates in scientific conferences around the world under false identities to defend the Foundation’s interests.
