if want to make it look better from far away also, I suggest you make the dark colors on your skin slightly more purple and darker, and the light colors in the skin slightly more blue and lighter. This will create more contrast. Also changing the colors is a method called hue-shifting.

nice What do you use for color corrections? I use IrfanView 4.37. It helps when I have specific textures (such as hair) that i need a certain color without ruining the shade differences.
