This wise sorcerer used the light created by the sun when it fell behind the horizon to augment his magic, turning it into something even more powerful than his previous spells. However, in the process he accidentally transformed himself into a fiery form devoid of his wisdom, and he quickly went mad. Even more hungry for anything that would make himself more powerful, he frequently roamed the world, destruction in his path. However, a sage from a village he came across infused a special gem (most likely a diamond) with powerful magic that stabilized the madman, but did not revert him to his original form.
