Its said that at the beginning of time the Gods created these creature as builder of the earth. They created migthy volcanoes and are probably responsable of the creation of the Bedrock. After the world was finish seing no utility in keeping them the Gods cease providing the magic energy keeping them from burning.Fearing to fall into ashes they started eating the soul of living ,tainting there own very soul.The more they eat souls the more they require to maintain there body.

They hide in embers of dying fire waiting there victim to sleep burning theme alive and extract the soul of there poor victim.The embers burn every single trace of there passage and most there attack is mistaken for natural fire
