no they didn't i remember the first time of mine craft no endermen then they made endermen with purple eyes

I had 1.8 pre release (and screencaps of Enderman from then) and they had green eyes. I also have a t-shirt I bought off of Jinx that has an Enderman with green eyes on it as well.
