Perhaps; I do remember the one in 'Alien' being a lot bigger than the humans, compared to the one(s) in 'Prometheus'. I haven't read the comics or any other material, just going by what I know from the movies.
I enjoyed this movie as well.

Indeed! But I didn't like the ending...could have been more "Explained"...not the ending ending, but the part where they leave.
