I realize the story is long, so if you don't wanna have to go through the whole thing, just read this first bolded paragraph:

Summary of Enigmos: Enigmos is a superhero, it is unknown where he comes from or his background. He uses psychic abilities to stop any villains, from robbers to giant monsters. He protects the Earth for some reason, and often the military is scared of him, but they don't try and hurt him. It is believed he comes from another planet, one that was wiped out years and years ago. It is unknown how he got his powers, or why he protects the humans. In 2011, he left Earth and claimed he will come back in 27 years to try and defeat the monster that will destroy the Earth. That is the basic info, and that's really all you need to know.

Enigmos, and his story...

Enigmos lives in an unknown place, but many people have tried to figure out who, or what, he is. Enigmos often teleports into places when they appear to be in trouble. First, you see the shape of his body appear, but just in a blue light, and he then slowly appears in his entire sense. He mostly uses psychic ability, in fact, he is very rarely seen walking, as he usually floats in a meditation or hovering position. He also rarely talks, but when he does, he normally says something through telepathy, the ability to talk through people's minds.

He does not appear very human, but more of a theatrical spectrum, composed of forces of different worlds put together to create him. He also, has a very auronic presence, as in there seems to be a mystical aura around him. He can use his abilities to:
Lift things with his mind.
Shoot blasts of energy, which are usually silver, but red when they are at full power.
Create Force Fields, which deflect nearly anything that come his way.
he can read the auras of people, telling him their true intentions, and once he picks up on a strong aura he can easily teleport to it.

The first sighting of Enigmos was in 1989, when a young college graduate in New York said he was about to be mugged, when a mysterious shape appeared and saved him. The college graduate described the shape as "a mystery, wrapped in an enigma". Obviously, no one else believed him, and they named the figure who the media gave him the name of "Enigmos" to try and grab people's attention. Over the next 5 years, there were over 500 reports of people being saved by this "Enigmos". It is unknown whether these were real or created by news reporters to get attention.

One thing is for sure, the incident that happened in 1995 was definitely NOT created by the media. A small village in the south of ireland was being attacked by what appeared to be a Krakken, when Enigmos came, and using amazing abilities, he defeated the Krakken and with a red energy blast, managed to completely destroy it! Since this was recorded on several cameras, people were convinced Enigmos was real.

Enigmos, after doing his heroic deeds would always be shrouded by the media as soon as they heard what was happening. However, Enigmos would simply look at them all, and say something like "If I am a hero as you say, why do i not feel the satisfaction a hero should?". He would then teleport away.

Enigmos was clearly more powerful than anything on the planet, having stopped everything from thieves to monsters. In 1999, the U.S. government, who Enigmos had done nothing wrong to, decided they would secretly hunt for Enigmos, and kill him. In 2000, a fake monster known as "Crypus" was said to be attacking New York City. As always Enigmos arrived, but the goverment attacked him with a laser that was meant to freeze him, but he managed to break away easily, and he said to the entire city these famous words:

"Humans.... I have done nothing but protect you, as I wish someone had done to my people in our time of need, yet you try and destroy me. Well no more... I will give up my power of protecting you, I will simply let you decide your own fate, but I assure you, it will not go well. Myself, being of greater power, can see what is yet to come, and I promise you your city, your great city who can not be trusted, will face catastrophic events. Until I see a better aura in the world, you will not be seeing the likes of me.... the one you call... Enigmos"

Until the year 2008, Enigmos was not seen again. In 2008, Enigmos was detected by some astronauts, who said they were picking up some form of energy. Apparently Enigmos had been been watching over Earth all these years, but choosing to do nothing, as they had betrayed him. In 2009, Enigmos came back down to Earth for the first time in a while, and he was back in New York City, the city that had betrayed him. In the city, Enigmos proclaimed:

"Humans... today i must warn you of a terror, worst than any you have ever faced, it will come on the next New Moon, and it will completely obliterate your city. Say goodbye to your life, for I will not help you.... unless... you can bring me a pure person, one who is completely free of temptation, ambition, or fear. Do this, and you will have proved to me you are worthy of being saved."

In 2 days, a mother brought her newly born son to Enigmos, and he saw him as pure, and absorbed his aura to make himself pure as well. Enigmos apparently saw that he had to be pure to defeat this monster, and as a result, he needed a pure child anyway. The monster turned out to be a dragon from space, but Enigmos, after a long and tough battle, did manage to defeat it!

Enigmos returned to stopping a lot of crime in the later years. In 2011, Enigmos said that we humans must survive on our own for the next 27 years, because he sensed a dark aura.

"Darkness, in 27 years, Aura can no longer be sensed, just Darkness!!! I... I am not powerful enough to defeat it... I am weak... I have devoted my after life to protecting you magificent, imperfect creatures known as humans, and it will all be in vain!!! No... I will go back to the Light Dimension, and train, train, and train harder than I ever have before!!! I will not let you humans die after what I have done for you!!!"

He then left... hopefully he will return in 2028 to save us from the threat that we have to face. That is the last anyone has seen of him.

Ideas about Enigmos

Enigmos is surely a mystery, we do not know where he comes from, how he gets his powers or why he protects us. We do not even know if Enigmos is his real name... but... many have come up with ideas of who he is based on all the things he has done over the years.

Enigmos has mentioned "The Light Dimension" and "his afterlife" several times. He also refers to us as "Humans" leading us to believe he is not one.

While he may not be a human, he does protect us. We believe he is from another world, that was wiped out, as he often says "I will protect the humans as I could not protect my own" and now he has devoted his life to saving another species from destruction. Whether Enigmos can die or not is unknown, as some believe he has already died once, and he is now back from the dead to make up for his past mistakes. He seems to care for humans, but also seems to only help them if they are worthy, which is why when the goverment betrayed him, he left the planet for years.

How he got his abilities is unknown. Perhaps they came with afterlife, or perhaps they are just a part of his race. It is unknown... as most things about Enigmos are.

Some say Enigmos is not a hero, as he is not human. However, he protects the world from evil when it deserves it, and uses his power for good, so it seems that he is the greatest hero there is. In 28 years, hopefully Enigmos will return, to defeat the terrible darkness he predicted will wipe out Earth.
