I'm not the first and won't be the last, a lot of many of our styles is imitated by others, that's the beauty of sharing content, we can take idea's from each other and adapt them with our own style.

Yes it is. but most importantly, you must comply with and know the copyrights. otherwise, they just took MY successful skin from me, and just ruined it and assigned it (I'm not talking about you, you have an original skin). this is normal?

Also, you do realise that what can be done with Skins is so limited that, someone's always going to come up with a similar style and never once see one of your skins. You can't really copyright skins. What I'd suggest is, if you do not wish to allow other people to copy your work, you shouldn't share it, unfortunately you're playing an online game where someone will still see you playing your skins and like it, thus attempt to create something themselves.

I know you're not referring to my skins because none of my skins are anything like yours, feel free to copy any of mine though, everyone is welcome to.

What I do is, I don't share the skin I'm using until I've created and replaced that skin, that's the best you're going to get. The only real way you're going to reserve a particular skin look, is if you make it your image like Mumbo has on YouTube or live streaming on another platform, that way you'll be known as the original. That's about as close you're going to get to ownership.

If I had £1 for every time someone copied me I'd be a very rich man indeed, I mean in the Scrapheap Skin contest not so long ago on here PMC, I entered my Skin Scrappy, then moments later there were 10+ Skins almost identical to mine (one or two better unfortunately for me haha), it's something you just have to accept when freely sharing stuff online, if however you wish to protect work then you need to actually have that work copyright protected which costs money, so in this case. Unfortunately you can't just say somethings copyrighted, it needs to be registered like protecting a trademark for instance. On the other hand websites do protect you so If you find someone to have just taken your work and are passing off the exact same work as yours as their own, then you need to report it to PMC or which ever website they are passing it off as their own on.

The advantage you have is the time and date stamp, showing that you uploaded it before they did. That there partially proves you are the original creator/owner, I'm sure PMC wouldn't tolerate someone passing off others work and sure they'd act upon it.
