Konath was once a respected buisness-man, until it happened, the accident.

Konath was strolling about the local lake with his wife, Camilla. They were walking to the the restaurant which was on the other side of the gloomy green waters of the lake, Lake Wendouree... When suddenly a short man with a M-9 attacked them. 'Give me your wallet' 'Sorry, I only brought my credit card' as Konath said this he punched the criminal in the upper ribs,and kicked him over as he stumbled to catch his breath. Konath pocketed the gun in the inside pocket of his black blazer, Camilla said nothing.Not long after this happened a car had pulled up beside where the 'incident' had occured, the man who had attacked him had a phone in his hand, and he had five other villains behind him, the attacker had put down the phone and ordered Konath to give him back the weapon, 'drop it' Konath did what he was told...

Konath and Camilla were ordered to lay down with their head hanging over the dirty edge of the lake. The couple stared into the murky deep green waters, at the slimy weeds floating up and the broken beer bottles bouncing on the water, they were no boats... Konath heard a gunshot, he saw his wife's blood drip into the water, Before the criminals knew what happened Konath had lunged himself into the lake and began swimming. Gunshots were flying past him he ducked under water, and stayed totally still.After a few moments he pushed himself up to the surface, he was very far away from the lake, infact he was close the the centre of the horrid scumy place. he looked at his surroundings, no beer bottles heard just grime.He suddenly noticed a golden shine at the bottom of the lake, he dived under the water to get a closer look. it was a .. chest of some kind, Konath was wondering how it had managed to keep clean in these slimy waters, he went back up to inhale some air before he went down to investigate the chest ....

Konath took a deep breath then ventured into the dark waters , he swam to the bottom and opened the shining chest. As he pulled up the lid he was sucked into the chest. It was dark and lonely inside the chest, Konath suddenly realised the he was breathing underwater in the chest , he slammed himself against the lid of the chest, it gave way , Konath looked down at himself was it him or was it the water playing tricks on his eyes he was green and his skin had gone! he was still breathing. He put his hands against his scaly complexion, he had little openings where the water came in, and out like gills.Konath swam to the top of the lake as soon as he tried to jump out of the water he began to suffocate. So he spent the rest of his life trying to escape his watery prison, and eatiing anything the happened to fall in the lake whether it be animal or man..

The fisherman and citizens called the creature Forlan. It/He was given the title Forlan because he ate the 'fallen'.

If even you happen to be walking around Lake Wendouree be sure not to slip...
