Galadriel was a High Elf and the guardian of the Golden Wood. She was a staunch ally of Gandalf and the Fellowship, as well as Thorin's Company

FACT: There are many more ringbearers than just Frodo, Bilbo, Sauron, and Gollum.

Galadriel is a ringbearer, one of a lesser ring (lesser compared to The One). Her's embodies the element of water, and is named Nenya, the Ring of Adamant. There are Three Elvish rings, Nenya, Narya, and Vilya, and belong to Galadriel, Gandalf the Wizard, and Elrond, Lord of Rivendell.

The Nazgul are also Ringbearers, as were seven Dwarf lords.
