Specially trained SS soldiers would go into battle as special divisions wearing a special camouflaged uniform. One of the ones used the most was the Eichenlaubmuster pattern. Used from 1943 to 1945, this green and brown camo was more practical than the brown polka-dot Erbsenmuster uniform and much more effective than normal German troops. These troops would be used as special forces o attack the Allies and protect important positions.
