The mundane world was always boring for Hermes. He preferred the pursuit of the dark arts. This pursuit, the search for the philosophero s stone, the ability to transmute any base metal into gold, and the quest for immortality, and the elixir of life itself, drove him to the most exotic places in the overworld, and then the depths of the Nether. By the time he had completed these feats, he had melted a hoard of zombies with their own guts and outwitted a hundred witches. He went on for years, confident that he was the final authority on alchemy across the two dimensions. That is, until one fateful day. Hermes was doing a routine run through a stronghold, looting for alchemical materials, then he found something he had only ever read about, a portal to a realm known only as o The End.o After an hour or so of study he concluded that the holes in the frame of this portal could only be filled with an alchemy ingredient known as o The Eye of Ender,o 12 of them. While procuring these items, Hermes came upon more information on this mysterious realm: that it was inhabited by an epic entity known only as o The Dark Oneo in this text, and that it held a philosophero s stone, or by the laymen term, a dragono s egg. Sure that his lifeo s work would soon be complete in the recovery of this philosophero s stone, he entered the portal. He arrived on a platform of pure obsidian, as he bore witness to the denizens of the end and looming above them, The Dark One himself. After exploring under the cover of an invisibility spell, he was made aware of three things; one was that the land was totally barren here, another that The Dark One had no visible weaknesses, and most importantly, there was no way out. So there he remained, alone in the end, presumably for the rest of eternity. Over his years in The End the pure darkness of the realm began to change him. Physically he began to resemble the other denizens of the end, his skin darkened and his eyes turned a bright purple. But mentally, Hermes was ravaged, going completely insane and forgetting all of his past knowledge of the dark arts. After decades in the end, someone arrived. Dressed head to toe in dark robes, this man fell the mighty Dark One, where the great beast fell appeared a portal with a philosophero s stone sitting pristinely atop it. Mustering all of the conscious knowledge he could bare, he took the stone and entered the portal. Here he saw the man in the robes speaking with two god-like entities, the pure light shining from them restoring Hermeso sanity. After the conversation had ended, he found himself back where his home used to be. Philosophero s stone in hand, Hermes set out to regain the knowledge of the dark arts of which he once held so dearly.


It has been a while, hasn't it? It was the end of the semester at school this week so I was concerned with making creative book reports and writing essays more than i was with making skins and writing back stories.
