๐ Context: This concept for my original character (OC) was made on Feb 15th, 2021, inspired by the "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni" anime. While aware of the "Higurashi Rei's Reiwa" manga released in September 24, 2021, this OC predates it, so please refrain from comments suggesting otherwise.
๐ Story: Following the tragic murder of their son, Keiichi's parents opt to relocate away from Hinamizawa. Several years later, they welcome a new son, James. At 16, James joins his parents on a visit to Hinamizawa, coinciding with the anniversary of his late unknown brother's passing. While exploring the "Watanagashi Festival," James stumbles upon an ancient shrine nestled in the forest. A sudden blow of wind sends chills down his spine, prompting him to retreat. Weeks later, the family decides to stay to Hinamizawa, where unsettling events begin to unfold. People vanish without a trace, and an eerie atmosphere permeates the town. Determined to unravel the mysteries shrouding Hinamizawa's past, James delves into the legend of the Oyashiro-sama curse. However, his investigation draws unwanted attention, and the residents' menacing gazes hint at a darker truth. Will history repeat itself, or can James rewrite history?
