Just add some knowledge 'bout crusaders, write a short story and maybe link a wiki-article...
That'll add depth as well as the possibility to gain more interest.
About the skin, I would recommend you to use higher contrasts.
You can barely see differnces between armor parts etc...
Just make a small hue shift or a bigger brightness shift and it'll look better.
Many PMCers made awesome tuts, so why not read one or too?
