The Year: 1930
Kusunoki's likeness has been raised in Chiyoda Tokyo. People stop and stare as the statue's demeanor demands respect. The bronze figure towering over the square watches all within Tokyo Serving the governing figures with servitude as he did while he was alive.
So I got a request from a good m8 Supernova, and he at first wanted me to take the original Kusunoki skin and make it look like fire was erupting from the armor, but that proved to be difficult, as the shadows in the armor were the only thing giving it definition. I proposed that I'd make a counter offer; a whole new skin based off of Kusunoki, with his own preferences tied in. He said he wanted stone and bronze, which was kinda lucky as the original Kusunoki statue would have looked bronze and shiny when it was first erected. I stuck with a stone look, however, because pure bronze would have hurt anyone's eyes in this skin, and it would be hard to tell what was what. I hope you guys enjoy this, it was a pleasure to make. Learning how to colour the stone and bronze to make them look like stone and bronze was a challenge, making bronze look like actual shiny metal and the stone look like what it is.
Special credit to Supernova, as he pushed my creativity with this one, and didn't back down from the request after I told him how hard it was. It's always good to have a challenge, as that's often where your best work comes from.
I'd also like to mention the ItemBound pack: It's a texture pack that adds hundreds of new items to minecraft just by renaming them! I've used my Samurai skin with a katana, or even the Buster Sword from Final Fantasy. It's an awesome pack, I encourage everyone to take a look.

Edit: also, thx for everything, its been a real pleasure doing this. I have been thinking about writing a book. It was inspired by your nuclear winter skin contest story :D
I'd better get busy :)
