The title of this contest only reminded me of my child hood. I myself spent a lot of time in the woods, but frankly this reminded me of my first multyplayer videogame. 'Wizard101'. I had always been mesmorized by the character design of almost everything in that game. My favorite was the dryad. This may look nothing like the specified dryad... but to me it's a mixture of things that I have come to love. Maybe it's the 'W.O.W' Pictures burning my eyes. Maybe its the cutsy little deer antlers. Maybe it's the little tree. And maybe it's the morning glory vines. I may not know a lot of things to describe with, but a skin can say a million words at the first glance.
Now, here is Lavender's story. (My paragraphing was takin out while puting it into the 'spoiler'.)
This is the story of lavender. A simple minded adventurer. Lavender had loved animals of anykind ever since she was brought into the cubed world of Minecraft. She made it her goal to be friends with atleast one of each. Even if it meant sleeping on the ground untill she found iron.
She mined for atleast three days straight before returning to the surface, unharmed or touched by angry undead. With her she brought three stacks of iron, a half stack of gold, a saddle, along with fourteen diamonds.
Lavender then ventured on her quest 'til she had found a horse and a plains village close to a jungle. There she settled and defended along with the golem. Lavander found chickens cows and pigs with a friendly farmer. She spent day after day around them, and all came farmiliar.
Many mobs spawned close to the plains edge, which only made Lavander wonder what other mobs could be held in a jungle biome of such. The question bit into her mind, and eventually she did go to the jungle. A week afterwards she returned with a kitten in her arm, two huskys trailing along, and a little lamp on her shoulder. New pets she called them, nearing the end of her goals.
But.. Lavender thought of a new challenge. The storys told by the villagers revealed to her a very far away place. The Nether. Extensive trade gave her thirty-four obsidian. She made a portal, along with a sword of diamond, then wished her friends luck without her as she jumped through the purple swirling abyess.
Lavender stepped to the edge of the portal, and looked down into the blazing hot lava from the cliff she spawned on. She turned behind the portal and walked through thr tunnling path through the netherack and glowstone to find her next destination. A nether fortrace. She climbed and broke through the bricks, prepared for anything in her path.
Two baby magma cubes sloshed down the hall, to stare up at her. Lavander found them harmless. She pat there heads, singing the hair on her hands, and continued on her journey. A blazerod and some netherwart was all she needed, yet she found nothing but empty halls.
To the roof she went. She fought off the fire sent from the newly spawned blazes, snatched the rods and took off down the lane. Lavander continued walking along the rooftop, casually gathering glowstone and quarts on the celing as she went. Her stomach growled when she was finished, so Lavender turned back, to the nearest staircase. She left the Magma cubes, the Blazes, and the riches contained in the chests.
Lavender not far from her home portal walked back towards the purple swirling sanctuary as she heard a sudden cry of a child. She looked behind her to see a burning ball of charges, before it struck her directly in the chest, throwing her to the ground painfully singed and burning. Lavander hid behind her sword, and deflected the next blow. She stood up and sprinted towards her portal while the time was given.
Alas, it was too late. Another ball of charges struck her in the back, sending her flying over to the cliff to her sudden demise.
Lavander just then had woken up in a world of mist, and cloud. She nolonger had both legs, she was part tree. Her once sunburned skin had been lightened, and chilled till the point of it being permadently lavender.
Little Lavander had truly become one with her surroundings, in what she believed was the Aether. Lavander looked around, simply to find a pyg, which found his way over, to cuddle next to Lavander's trunk. She was now content.
