From the 2019 CBS show Evil, Leland Townsend is a demonic rival for the series protagonists. His job is to eradicate hope and push people into doing wrong. He's just a bit of an a-hole. Being played by Michael Emerson though, I can't help but find him lovable. We'll see where the series takes him though and if he will actually be revealed to be a 'real' demon.
