IGEBM has left his home in the mountains and led his fellow villagers to the Deep Dark, specifically an Ancient City. IGE then went back for the civilization of Blockland, all of which have to migrated to the city now to escape the war started by evil warriors known as the Amethyst Army. To survive in the Ancient City, IGEBM learned lightbending (not the kind from Avatar, it’s a mix of Lloyd’s elemental powers in Ninjago and Ms. Marvel’s powers in the new series coming in June) through enhancing his original magic powers he got in the Jagged Peaks. As a result, his heterochromic right eye changed from purple to the color his magic. To go with his new powers, IGE had the tailor make him new lightbending robes with his own personalized symbol on it. He even got new wrist gauntlets that changed to fit his elemental colors!

During a fight with Amethyst Commander Krystal, one of IGEBM's light blasts was sent back at him by Krystal's staff. As a result, his left eye was scarred. (I started watching Avatar and I'm on Book 2, episode 18, The Earth King.)
