Lyvia did not understand why everyone stared at her.

"Is something on my face?" the young woman asked, running a hand through her dark locks, thinking she still had leaves in her hair from the capture the flag game earlier that evening. "This isn't funny, guys, is there someth--"

A sizzling, fire-like crackling caught her attention, and she could feel her heart stop, sudden anxiety overtaking her senses.

Slowly, carefully, she tilted her head back, her dark eyes reflecting the fiery blue symbol that levitated over her head. Even though the symbol dissipated immediately after her gaze fell upon it, confusion and surprise continued to flood through her body.

Looking around at the just-as-amazed campers, Lyvia shakily queried, "Will someone tell me what just happened?"

Lyvia was recognized as being Hades' daughter on her 18th birthday. Before she was brought to Camp Halfblood, she was an overly anxious, paranoid young lady who often found comfort in the late-night hours than during the day. Her mother died during birth, so she was raised by her mother's older sister and her husband, who were unable to conceive a child of their own. She showed early signs of being brilliant and creative, though sometimes it came out in rather morbid ways. Having very few friends, Lyvia did not easily trust people, often having to take the "watch, wait, and see" method in relationships.

After being recognized, she realized her paranoia and anxiety were actually reactions to an almost telepathic, 6th-sense power that sensed other people's emotions. Through this discovery, they would lead to Lyvia gaining foresight, a power often only controlled by oracles, as well as an ability to influence other people's thoughts and actions. These powers, and others, were strengthened over the years, becoming tools to aid the recovery of souls or to prevent people from losing their souls.

By her 25th birthday, she was a collector of souls and often became a messenger for Hades, who was not very welcome on the surface world or amongst the other Olympians. Living in the Underworld gave her a more cynical view of the world and its people, and though she was near-immortal from her time basking alongside the other gods, Lyvia appreciated life as it was and never fretted too much about materialistic things.

Her temper is as vicious as that of her adopted mother Persephone's, and her empathy is as reluctantly given out as Hades', but her heart is in the right place; she helps those less fortunate, and lends her abilities in the retrieval of other halfbloods across the globe to bring them to Camp Halfblood.
