Backstory: After the events of Higurashi not Naku Koro or Keiichi, the parents decide to move from Hinamizawa to the USA
After a few years they had a new son who was called Ethan and Keiichi [in memory of their son].
When Ethan turned 16, his parents decided it was time to return to Thier "town" (Hinamizawa) thinking that rumors of the curse of Oyashiro-Sama no longer exist.
1 month later a new family moved to the village and among that family, there was a girl named Rena Rabumi (it is the future version of the original Rena).
After a couple weeks Ethan and Rena becomes best friends and also with other friends: Hanyuu, Furude and Mion (NO! not the real Mion).
In the Watabagashi Festival while ethan was walking to the festival a strange man walk to him and said: YOU BETTER GET OUT OF HERE!, THIS PLACE IS NOT A GOOD PLACE TO STAY! as the man said that to him, Ethan decide to not listen to the man Without him knowing that his life will change
After a couple of days, people begin to disappear, even the man who talked to him at the festival and now Ethan will try to investigate the missing people, the people and the OYASHIRO-SAMA curse, while trying to get away from their friends (who they suspect him) and the same fate as Keiichi did in the past.
