backstory (heavily condensed): mars' father was a commander for the army on their home planet of priapus. when war broke out once again, her mother sent mars to live with her aunts on another planet, phaedra, just before priapus was destroyed. years later, when war arises in her new homeland, mars vows to learn how to fight for her family and fellow citizens. she is an apprentice to castor, a head swordsman for phaedra's army.
