The melodic lighteater is a reptilian race, that roams the skies in tropical regions. They are very friendly, and are kept as larger pets, as it does not require being cleaned up after, because they do not eat. These creature get their energy, by absorbing light, which is converted to energy, and minerals in their body. They do not need to be manually walked, as they are very loyal, and are very good at finding their way home. On top of these advantages, after being washed, they like to expel a small amount of light from the lightweight webbing of their wings, which, when colliding with the remaining water on them, creates a sort of layer around their wings, that appears to be made of pure rainbow.

In the wild, the melodic lighteater nests with a pod of other lighteaters, and acts as a very functional family. The reason they are referred to as melodic, is that their cry sounds like a cross between a flute, and a choir. At night, they can be heard singing off the coast of tropical locations, which is where they live, on rocky islands. Although normally friendly, they will retaliate when protecting their eggs, by either batting at foes, or using some of their energy to shoot a very hot, and blinding beam of light, that, when concentrated for eight, to twelve seconds, can actually set things on fire, making them similar to dragons. Their bright colors will change in value, depending on how much light they have consumed. After absorbing pure rainbow, they will glow faintly, making it very interesting to watch them after this, flying as a group at night.

A baby lighteater can range from the size of a cat to a dog, while an adult can be up to slightly larger than a draft horse. Their colors can vary, depending on the conditions of where their egg was located (temperature wise) as colder temperatures mean colder colors, and hotter temperatures mean hotter colors. It is very rare to see a chromatic lighteater, which has the full spectrum for it’s colors. This is caused by either odd weather conditions for the egg, or the egg being moved around a lot. The markings on it depend on the lighteater’s parents.

How did you add an extra layer to the arms and legs like that? Is that a new feature??

I used the 1.8 skin format for this. It allows sort of another hat layer to the arms, legs, and body, and allows asymmetry.
