When Morph was younger, he was more known as Axel Harrows, and growing up he was an athletic protege, when he was fourteen, his running and parkour skills were better than some olympic level athletes. However when he was fifteen he discovered his unnatural gift, while at the City Queensland, Australia (where he lived, by the way) he and his friends were having a day to explore the city during the school holidays, they happened to witness an armed robbery, when the thieves made their getaway, Axle gave chase and followed them on foot.

He followed them to their hideout on the outskirts of the city, where he confronted them, one of the thieves attacked him with a knife, but Axle knocked him out with a single punch, it was even later discover that he broke the mans jaw, the second of the three men attacked as well but Axle threw him right through the side wall of the house, the third and the leader of the group charged Axle with a metal pole, Axle charged at the leader as well but as he ran, his body changed, thick, brown fur sprouted all over his body, he grew in size and his muscles hardened, his clothes also mouthed and before Axle's attacker had time to blink, a full grown Grizzly Bear was thundering towards him.

When Axle returned to normal, he discovered with a shock his abnormal power, he had discovered that he had the ability to shapeshift, in the following days after the burglary, the thieves (badly injured) were arrested and Axle began to experiment with his power and he discovered that he could change into any creature that he knew of, and being a top student in Environmental Science at his school, he knew a lot of animals, he could also shape shift into extinct animals like the T-Rex or the great Haast's Eagle, he could also morph and grow certain parts of his body into mixes of different animals, like say turn his right arm into a large mix of a human's arm and the arm of a animal like say, a marine iguana so that his arm was now a vicious scaly mix of a human and iguana arm.

But with these powers came consequences, word at his school to out about his strange new ability and even the american government soon found out, they tried to detain Axle for research but he escaped and tried to flee to other countries, but almost every country he went to saw him as a powerful ally to work with them, a strange specimen to be tested on or a dangerous threat to be eliminated, even his home country australia refused to give him asylum there because of the threat of other con tries taking him by force. He became the worlds most wanted criminal, even though most people saw him as a hero, he was still considered a threat. However, wherever he went, he helped those in need and did whatever it took to rid the world of crime.
