Give me a reason Bedrock edition is better than Java edition, and I will try to disprove it.

You cannot use things like Bedrock being more accessible, because I am thinking gameplay rather than the actual platform itself. Thanks to everyone who gave their idea, and by the way, PMC doesn't allow me to post too many messages per 24 hours, so if your idea did not get answered, that's why.

Got a little CRaZy THeOrY of why its the case, and I just wanna be a bit memey/un-hinge to raise the stakes a bit xD. But will keep that at bay lmao.

Java in terms of free modding & creative outlook way exceeds the semi-forced micro-transactions that Bedrock has.

However Bedrock exceeds Java in terms of performance. Could be intentional to eventually force Java players to use Bedrock for a weekly, monthly, or yearly subscription with an additional charge to use Bedrock.

Making it so that even playing Java is a hinderance due to the massive performance drops, making it near impossible to play without having some high end devices. (Even the high end devices will have difficultly playing the Java version)

Also including forced online to even use single player and such. All in the name of "security" and making sure no harsh words are said; "of course."

- The Java will still be available, but will no longer be updated(i.e versions, patch, security updates, etc), thus making it a "security risk" and no safety minded parent & players who want the newest version want to have to deal with that

Who knows, It's just speculative thoughts for now; of course🤫

"3D Fishing Rod Bobbers"

that's it, game over, MS/Mj needs to offer an immediate program of reparations to all java players (or the estates of those who have perished of despair at this egregious iequity).

Seriously, a few of those are useful functions that could be added to vanilla java (although I don't see any that I would not expect to find available via mods)
[e.g. the extended cauldron funtionality]
but a lot seem to be nerfs of various java mechanics that were originally needed because of tle limitations some of the BR platforms place on worlds [e.g. Fsh drops, stronghold location constraints]
and other sound like the lists of upgrades MS/Mj put out for each update [corrected misspelled name in end credits, changed pixel on underside of bed leg, etc.]

One word, PERFORMANCE. One of our PCs are really garbage, barely running Java, but runs Bedrock quite fine (at lower settings) But you might say, "Well you could just use mods on Java to increase your performance!" THATS THE THING. Somehow, Optifine makes it WORSE, and Sodium barely does anything... So bedrock is the only option on that PC.

While Java has a lot more potential, Bedrock is for beginners, and that's that.

I think that Java and Bedrock both have there pros and cons, but if I had to say something it would be quasi connectivity is not in bedrock.

And the Minecraft bedrock marketplace is so dumb I see people breaking the rules in it and Minecraft doing nothing about it.

Add-ons could make Bedrock better than Java, if they didn't suck so much. First, Mojang decided to make modding easier for players. Then, they quit. Add-ons have terrible documentation and can't ever do what you expect them to do. The best things you can make with add-ons are always so limited.

personally i feel like java is better than bedrock even tho I'm a xbox bedrock player. i don't make mods but the only thing that makes mc bedrock fun for me is the fact i can still mod on xbox, run HD skins (idk if java has HD skins but i prefer the detail in them). idrc abt the marketplace other than emotes kuz i use them for roleplay purposes when i'm hanging out w my friends. i join my homie who runs a pc so the mods can be more better. i run my own global resources to make stuff look good for me. java is better kuz i prefer playing minecraft w mods. w/o mods i wouldn't touch minecraft personally.

Ok but really what is it that makes Java better? I'm not denying it. Bedrock edition is my most played game of all time but I recently acquired Java edition (which I always wished I had) and somehow it just feels so much better. (In fairness, much of my Bedrock gameplay was on Switch, which plays poorly.) Maybe it's the sentiment. Bedrock edition is full of clickbait pictures and poorly realized licensed content on its marketplace which it shoves in your face. Java edition is just the original game, continuing to survive.

anyway, i've decided to put some more things here:

you can switch skins in-game (i'm pretty sure you have to go to the launcher on java edition). you can even make custom geometry and capes for your skin if you know what you're doing.

and bonemeal works on more things, including small flowers and sugar canes.

-Controller Support by default (Without having to use mods, alternative platforms such as Steam, or third party mappable controllers)
-Better Color Palette for Biome Type Identification when using Water to tell
-Higher Drop Rates for Tridents
-Better Trident Support:
  • Riptide Tridents are not considered thrown when using Riptide on Bedrock Edition, therefore using Riptide itself will not damage the Trident, unless you run into another mob or entity with it.
  • Riptide damage detection is spot on, meaning where you aim and within a small radius takes damage, as intended. On Java sometimes Riptide damage this way is ignored.
  • Impaling affects any mob in rain or the water, not just limited to Aquatic Mobs such as Fish, Axolotls, Dolphins, Guardians, and Turtles
  • If a Loyalty Trident is thrown into Void (Not dropped) on Bedrock Edition, it will still return to the player.
-Curing a Zombie Villager will allow all players to have the discounts, instead of just the person who cured the Zombie Villager
-Easier Bridging
-Two Stacks of Fire Protection IV will give you 100% FireTick Protection (Compared to the Max of 60% on Java Edition), meaning that the only time you will take damage from Fire is by actively standing in it and if you fall in Lava with this, you will only take damage from the Lava itself. Also with this, Blaze Fireball Projectiles will only deal impact damage.
-On a Server, relogging will de-aggro an Enderman.
-Lava Lakes in the Nether are not as deep, making Ancient Debris mining alot safer.
-Structures can generate mashed together.
-If you have Console Legacy Xbox 360 and Xbox One Editions, you can transfer older Console Legacy worlds to Bedrock Edition.
-Your weapons deal slightly more damage on Bedrock Edition.
-A Netherite Hoe can be used as an equivilant of an unenchanted Iron Sword with additional durability (This is likely why it was removed from Piglin Bartering in Bedrock 1.16.100).
-Harder Wither Boss fight.
-Nether Fortresses are harder to deal with.
-You can bonemeal one block tall flowers to make more flowers.
-You can bonemeal grass to make flowers, grass, and ferns regardless of what biome you are in in the Overworld (Making Ferns easier to obtain)
-You can bonemeal sand underwater in any biome in the Overworld to make corals.
-You can obtain Arrows of Decay (Wither effect) from Master Level Fletchers
-Fishing Rods have six times the durability
-Fishing with a fully enchanted fishing rod is faster, especially if it is raining or there is a Thunderstorm
-Using a Charged Creeper to kill multiple mobs at once that can drop a mob head will have multiple mob heads drop instead of only one (Based off of which mob died first)
-Lack of Zombie Reinforcements (Basically killing a Zombie can cause more to spawn due to a Zombie Leader Mechanic, which does not exist in Bedrock, so no Zombie Spam)
-Skeletons do not strafe.
-Dolphins won't try to bop around items in the water or slam you with super speed from Dolphin's Grace if you're working on a Project underwater.
-Zombie Spawners can spawn Zombie Villagers
-More Mob Variants (Baby Zombies can jockey on more mobs, Big Salmon, Baby Salmon, Baby Squid, Baby Glow Squid, Baby Dolphin, really small Baby Sea Turtles)
