Based mostly off of Orlando Jones' portrayal in the 2017 TV series American Gods, but I did keep his "pencil moustache" from the 2001 novel that inspired the show.
In American Gods, Mr. Nancy is an "old god" from West Africa, and a central character in the show (in addition to being the titular focus of the spin-off series, The Anansi Boys). As you can probably guess by his name, he is the spider trickster Anansi.
In the novel, he's introduced at The House on the Rock, where Mr. Wednesday invited him and Chernobog for a meeting that involves a war between the Old Gods (mythical deities such as Odin, Anansi, Chernobog, and Kali) and the New Gods (personifications of modern day luxuries like technology, economics, wealth, and media).
In the show, he's introduced rather early, where, in a flashback to 1697, he convinces the imprisoned slaves on a Dutch ship to rebel against their captors. The resulting rebellion causes the slave ship to catch fire, with nearly everyone onboard perishing, and the sole survivor being a colorful spider (Anansi himself).
I highly recommend reading American Gods, those who love world mythology should give it a chance (although be warned, there's some graphic scenes that I'd rather not describe here).

Edit: Changed up his shirt sleeves. I also tried to add a hat, but it just looked weird. |
