One day, Steve joined a cult and began worshiping a dark god. He quickly went mad and began wearing a creepy mask. Later, the dark god rewarded him: he infused poor Steve with a demon, making him more powerful, cruel, and evil. Now he's like Jason Voorhees: he hunts people walking alone at night, torturing them for pleasure, and then absorbing their souls, becoming increasingly terrifying. He then became the cult leader and the dark god's foremost worshiper. Now, he seeks to recruit even more members to the cult, gradually forcing the entire world to serve the evil force and finally turning people away from the true god.
