Captain America. A figure based off of the idea of the old traditions, childhood youth, the American dream. He stands for good throughout any and all pain and suffering, championing the ideals of justice, law, honor, and loyalty, wherever he goes. He may be a superhero, but are your ideals really that different?
Do you want to be a superhero? You don't need the physical strength, nor the speed of light on your side. All you have to do is believe in something, and believe in it with all your heart. Maybe you believe that hockey is the most entertaining sport, that spaghetti is the best food in the world, maybe you believe that you are worth something. Superheroes aren't given a power and told to do good, they have to believe in their own strength.
I've been here for, oh, 2 and a half years now. I've grown so much myself, and I've seen others grow (lookin at you, PureNerd old buddy) into amazing artists, wonderful people, and most of all, my family. All of you, each and every single one, have represented some part of me that got better, and slowly, I myself became a better person. The only people I have to thank for that are you guys.
When I first came here, I only viewed this place as a hierarchy of talent, where the struggle to get to the top was all that anyone cared about. And it was, back then. When I finally let go of that, and started seeing everyone for what they were aside of the talent, aside of the art, I found people I could relate to, people I could tell my deepest feelings to, someone who I was wanting to share my time with. You grew from a bunch of internet friends to the people I called family, the place where I felt safest. PMC, back in that day, was my home. It represented where I went to when I felt sad, where I [tried] to express my skills, and where I grew up myself, from an arrogant little 12 year old to where I am now, wherever that may be.
Decided to make Cappy because he represents two things. Firstly, he represents what I explained above. Second, he was the only reason I stayed on PMC and met all of you. If you go to my profile, go to Page 4, and scroll down until you see Captain America, that was the first skin I really tried on. There's a comment on there by Hybrid Warrior that gave me a bit of a criticism, a little helping hand so I could see how I could improve. May just look like a quick comment to you, but that comment urged me to keep going, urged me to try better. He had noticed my skin, this guy I absolutely loved for his skins, and he gave me advice! That boost kept me here, and it changed the rest of my life. I owe Hybrid thanks for that. I don't know where I would be today without that break.
The reason I'm saying all this is because it's time I moved on with my life. I've spent all of my time for the past 2 years here, and it was the best experience I've had up to this point, but nothing keeps going forever. I don't have a reason for leaving, I honestly don't. It just feels right. I'll answer PM's and such, but I won't be posting much of anything or popping into chat very often anymore.
Not going to make a friend list, as I don't have nearly enough time to type that many names in.
With all of that said, I leave you with one last thing.

Seriously, I only talked to you once or twice, but I would have liked to speak to you a lot more :)
Have fun in life, and I hope you get wherever you're destined to go.
Remember to pop into chat once in a while :)
Are you gonna keep your skins up? Because I've seen so many leave and take down all their content even though it was amazing stuff. You leaving is your decision, but can you at least not force us all to say goodbye to your skins as well?
well, bai <3
