~Backstory~



Oliver Witt was born on a Pig Farm far away from Haeriven. His parents as you would expect were pig farmers. They would often send him to the local Markets with the pigs to sell. Every day for years he would make the seven mile walk towards the Markets. Luckily for him, these were not very dangerous roads. One day though he met a boy named Owen Ping. These boys would later become best friends. After he met Owen they started to play games near the Markets. Eventually though he would stay and play longer than he was allowed to, and would often get punished by his father. Usually a beating.One day when Oliver was about Fifteen years old Owen was not at the Market. This annoyed Oliver as he and Owen had both arranged that they would meet there to run around the Market and cause trouble. As Oliver walked through the Market he noticed a man looking very worried. When Oliver asked him what was wrong, the man replied that he overheard a boy talking about burning down an old Pig Farm some miles away from the Markets. Oliver became scared, he only knew of one Pig Farm near the Markets and that was his Parent's Pig Farm. When he had finally arrived at the Farm he saw Owen with some Flint and some Iron, he was burning the Farm. He saw it happen, unable to move. He couldn't believe what Owen was doing, he could heard screaming and crying, when he finally had the confidence to run up to Owen, he tripped and fell onto Owen. This led to Owen falling into the fire; burning to a crisp. Oliver had no idea what to do now, but all he could do was cry. And so he did cry, all the way back to the Market. This is when the Man he saw earlier noticed his tears. He somehow knew what had happened. He knew what Owen had done, and felt guilty that he couldn't have stopped him. Because of all the guilt he was feeling he decide to adopt Oliver as his Son. To which Oliver agreed.
Oliver's Adoptive Father was in-fact a Merchant skilled in the Arts Of Persuasion. His Adoptive Father then taught him these skills. Oliver went on to also becoming a Merchant in the Markets. It seemed like those Markets were his new home. However he was not making a lot of money selling the Salted Pork and Grilled Fish. It seems that his business was stolen by the Merchant opposite to his store. That Merchant sold bread and cakes. In Oliver's opinion he wasn't even a Merchant, he joked that he didn't even deserve the title, instead labelling him a Baker. One day though he had completely ran out of money to run his Store and was kicked out of the Markets. His Adoptive Father died a weak later, as such this was a terrible time for Oliver, however there was some money in his Adoptive Father's pockets and so he took them, he felt so guilty after this act of injustice but felt as if he had to do it. After a while of living off the last of his supply of fish and pork. He heard of a new land, and so he decided he would have better luck in this new land, he bought a ticket for a boat. And set sail to a new land of Wealth...
