I see what you mean by the transparency in the skin. Although, if I'm correct, when somebody uses this in-game, anything transparent will come up in solid black. Anyways, good luck to you in the contest! :3

Transparency only appears solid black when on the skin layer, on the hat layer it will appear translucent.

I did not know this...hmm. How do you make a color transparent? I will probably make the eyes transparent.

In MCSkin3D the number value on the very bottom controls transparency, to be safe I usually set that number to 140.

I figured out how to do it in Paint.NET. Thanks for the tip though, I'll keep that in mind if I want to make more skins with transparent layers. Thanks for the help!
