lol yea his name is Ethan cause he's from the remakes, despite him looking like the original gold/silver trainer, since they changed the look of the female trainer they gave different names to the heart gold and soul silver trainers, while the original had the male (in which only at that point there were no playable female characters) as Gold, and the rival as Silver. Crystal was the first game to showcase a playable female trainer, which made her name crystal! they kept the name the same for the rival in HG/SS though. anyways just some pokéfacts for ya despite your comment being from 7 years ago!
