The witch... A character often included in Medieval Fantasy stories. She's a seer of past and future events.
You see an old, mysterious woman reading her crystal ball...
A sad prophecy is told of a romance between a young noblewoman and a poor yet sweet peasant man; they will fall in love but their love cannot be. She is to marry a prince! Regardless they will be married in secret under the rays of a warm summer sun. He promises her a free, adventurous life elsewhere; away from all the expectations weighing on her shoulders.
Soon after the marriage he will be boarding a ship in search for different lands, a quiet place to bring his new bride and live happily ever after. But alas, the ship gets caught in a storm at sea, killing all of the crew not sparing our poor peasant man. There'll be talk in the town, about men washing up on shore after their ship got wrecked in a thunderstorm. Townspeople will bury the men.
Our young noblewoman shall learn of the news eavesdropping on the streets. She has to hide her grief until nighttime because she cannot have anyone see her visit the graves. The only way for her to visit the final resting place of her beloved husband will be by sneaking out of her castle and finding her way under moonlight. From then on she will have to carry her grief all alone for the rest of her life.
