Space Documentary 3485 - Pynappians
On the distant swamp planet of Pynapp 13, located in the Tropx System, there exists a race of unusual creatures. These beings are not unlike our species in terms of intelligence and social interaction, having evolved enough to create large civilisations from the marshes that cover the planet.
However, due to the existence of large predators and the 3 Tropx Suns, the creatures of Pynapp 13 are more reptillian in nature, having grown armored plates which cover all of their body except for their singular eye, which allows them to see microscopic details with great clarity, a trait that has been pivotal to their development of biomechanical tools.
The residents of Pynapp 13 also house large plant-like tendrils in their limbs, mainly for propelling through the swampy oceans, but they can also be used to grab or swing from the tree-equivalents which grow on the planet. They have yet to develop a proper means of space travel, but there have been many accounts of Pynappians leaving the planet in search of other worlds by ejecting themselves from the atmosphere with the planet's geyser volcanoes.
Despite their appearance, Pynappians are pacifistic and virtually harmless, and members of this species are highly valued as medical aids, for they are naturally equipped to handle most known viruses and diseases, and actually consume bacteria. Pynappian mucus has been known to have regenerative qualities.
