A mutant infected by the Radiation Accelerated Disease. Little is known about this strange infection, other than that it's hosts become grotesque and hostile monsters.

The crusher is an incredibly unintelligent RAD. It uses it's massive bloated and hardened torso/arms as a battering ram, ripping through survivors and barricades alike.
