The Rangers during the dark ages were mainly forest dwellers, many would live off the land and protect animals from poaching. These people were extremely skilled in the art of archery and had a keen eye. Rodrik Fickleton (Fictional character) lived on the edge of the forest near a plain land. There he set up a personal sanctuary, and would also feed and travelers or passing caravans. There were the odd times where the poachers from a nearby settlement would come in and kill the animals of the forest, but they quickly learned that that was not a great idea.
