Boyar? The boyars were not warriors. They were feudal lords who played the role of a kind of Parliament, acting as a deterrent to the Knyaz or Tsar. Later, Peter the great and Ivan the terrible fought with them because of this. Perhaps you confused them with Bogatyr?
