This is my entry for the Infections & Mutations skin contest, based on the fictional Deep Root Disease from Gemini Home Entertainment analog horror series.

Deep Root spreads via physical contact. From the outer layer of the skin, it forms roots that dig into the flesh till it reaches the bone and then spreads throughout the body. The end result is a full mutation of the host's body into an empty husk only designed to spread the disease further for the will of the Iris.
