Sotakel is over 7 000 000 years old, and possesses immense physic abilities as well as tremendous magic powers. Even the great King of Demons, Jeroboam, couldn't defeat him. In fact, Jeroboam was slaughtered by Sotakel in a duel, several years ago. Still, due to his pride, the angel didn't kill him, and let him live, saying he hoped that " Jeroboam would put a better fight next time."

The archangel is merciless, somewhat cruel, and shows a real hatred toward all darkness creatures. He also consider that humans are born corrupted, so innocence doesn't exist, and that they are quite worthless. The only ones he really shows a little respect to are his teammates, Vyndamiel and Thaumariel.
