For those of you who are wondering what the yellow item is, it's a geiger counter. After all, this is a nuclear winter, radiation is a huge concern to all those who want to explore on the surface! 

For those of you who have no idea what any of the inspirations are, they are post-apoctalyptic books and games(Roadside Picnic is the inspirational source of the other 2). Stalkers are people who scavenge for things, in the Metro series, items that are critical for survival on the surface. In RC and S.T.A.L.K.E.R, they are people who look for artifacts, as they rare, valuable, and interesting. If you want to learn more about any of those go look them up.
