I'm a big fan of cryptids and creepypastas, even subscribed to a couple of private chat groups and we go to look for things in our little circle. I got off of work one night and was glad for it to finally be my weekend.
One of the group got an ominous email, entailing a large list of seeds claimed to be potential creepypastas and horrors, so of course we took immediately to begin exploring them.
Each seemed to be a bust. Except for one.
I don't want to put the seed here, in case any one tries to be curious and end up hurt...or worse, but its code name was "The Blooming".
As good as any is what we thought, upon spawning in the world we were immediately greeted with nothing but Cherry Grove. It was just strange, mountain after mountain of the cherry blossom trees, nothing else in sight. Anything below was barren, and not one single village.
It piqued our interest, so we decided to see what we could find.
A few things raised some flags, at night the mobs would not spawn in the Cherry Grove, closest they'd get is outside the edge of the biome. That, and there was no music, despite volume being up.
Just a little unnerving to see endless Cherry Grove, as their petals silently fell to the ground.
As time passed, one by one everyone began calling it a day and logging off. But something continued to arouse my suspicion, so I stayed.
It just came to me that we never tried harvesting the environment at all, we just walked and joked for miles, so I decided to go break a cherry blossom tree and make some tools.
When I began breaking the tree, I thought I heard whispers, that grew louder as the cracks formed more greatly. I stopped and checked my party chat, but it was just me in the group, and the game showed no one else within.
I shrugged it off, and broke the block.
A scream was heard, raspy and airy as it echoed, and my game immediately switched to night.
Panicked, started by the scream. I took a quick look around in the game, I decided to quicky hop off and look around my house, checked outside but it was dead quiet.
I was unnerved, my heart rate elevated, cold sweat.
Dropping back into my seat, I continued to explore the new found night while going against my judgement. Curiosity and fear had me on a hook.
To my surprise, I realized the moon was no longer a moon. It was a large cherry blossom, but it looked off. More bleak and discolored, the edges caked red with what I assumed was blood. The ambient lighting had a faint tingle of red.
Not a mob was in site, nor were petals falling from the trees anymore, the giant blossom in the sky sat still and gazed down on me like an unblinking eye.
After a few more minutes passed, I could hear a faint whispering again, but it sounded more like a lot of whispers trying to talk over one another. And there was the scream again, it made me feel dread as my eyes watered and my heart dropped.
Where I heard the scream, I looked towards the directional audio, and that is when I finally seen...it.
It looked like another player, a female, she stood in an open field at the bottom, before the Cherry Grove I was on top of. I checked my settings to see if someone had joined my game, but it still claimed to be empty.
As I exited from the menu, I could see her stare up at me, and she began slowly walking up the mountain. But she didn't walk like a normal Minecraft character, her left hand seems to be twitching unnaturally, blossom petals quietly scattered behind her, her head at a tilt with her back slightly hunched over.
I turned to run, and there she was, peeking at me from behind a blossom tree, her single eye gazed at me unblinking, where she twitched out from behind the tree to reveal her flesh, being consumed by the blossom petals.
She screamed once more. I panicked, and pulled my computer plug, instantly shutting everything down.
I decided to get some sleep, I was too unnerved to do anything else. I could still hear the scream, and when I closed my eyes she was still there, gazing.
When I awoke, I plugged the computer back in to tell the chat about the experience, they didn't believe me and chose to pursue it themselves when they get the chance.
That was a week ago.
Police reports couldn't find any bodies, just cherry blossoms with their blood spattered on them, littering the room...
