It had been his passion, his dream. Since childhood, he pictured this business rising into something great, him behind the wheel. In the beginning, it had gone so smoothly. Everything was falling into place. Profits soared and the company grew as more and more people began to realize the ingenuity of his work. It was a thing of beauty, and the whole world was captivated. As he became increasingly widely idolized, his confidence grew. His once cautious nature transformed into audaciousness. He started taking risks. What had once been business was now reckless gambling. As he pushed it farther and farther, he tried to tell himself to stop. It was getting too dangerous. He knew that it was, but he kept going... Until finally, his empire collapsed into a heap of rubble. The money was gone. He tried to change things, but it was far too late. His business exploits were over for good. He fell into despair, and slowly his wide, now disappointed audience began to forget him. Not much later, he was nothing.
