Storytime!

Legend has it that of one was to slay a god, they inherit the god's heavenly immortality & magical powers, whether it was fire, water, or sand. This was exactly what the other gods had in mind when they sent a heavenly message (bounty roughly speaking) to all of the land to slay the rebel sand god. Desiring an immortal among their ranks, village chiefs sent their most powerful warriors to find and slay the renegade sand god and gain honor from both the gods and the entire village. But, warrior after warrior was slain, with no victor to claim and defeat this powerful deity. After many decades of failure, only one survivor was able to kill the god, and instantaneously became well known around the land and so honored as well. But when his village awaited his return to reward him with luxuries of gold, jewels, and women, he was never seen or heard from again. After all, those simple things can’t easily please a god such as him…

Relevancy-
The skin's headware is modeled on clothing used by people in the Sahara Desert, because of the the attire being the norm and the fact that it does help the people with the heat. The other elements touched up with more of a mage/medieval style to it. The look of the skin was inspired by this image, and the rest I made up myself!
