I try not to write about things that scare me. But writing keeps me sane in this maniacial world, the creators beast. You see, I wouldn't have been scared if it hadn't been... there. Its placement was perfect, it had no soul, it had no remorse, or guilt. It watched as they were slaughtered, mercilessly torn and strewn about to lay waste to the ground, to the sweet, sweet Earth. The automaton, it has no life, no feeling! What it did is beyond its comprehension! What it can do is beyond what I understand myself! It traps me, in its essence, in its memory... seeing that one, glowing bulb will haunt me till the end of time, and beyond that into eternity. As it stood over them, it looked at me, its arms dripping, glistening, the steel reflecting the blinding light emanating from its horrible, horrible face. It... stared at me, like it knew what I was thinking, like it knew I felt fear, I had feelings. I think it envied me, it wanted to be like me. Only, its restraints, its bindings, kept it from ever feeling again, never to live. But still, it hunts me, hunting life. It wants to live.
