up until around the age of six i rather quite liked dolls; i dont
know why i actually stopped to be honest. my mother would give me some
of her barbie dolls shed gotten throughout her childhood for me to play
with. this was because my brothers medication was rather expensive due
to not having the insurance my family currently has, and because my dads
job didnt pay as much back then.
id mentioned once in the past
that ive always really liked space ever sense i was young, so you could
imagine how ecstatic i was when my mom gave me an astronaut themed
barbie, and yes, i really truly was. as time went on however i grew out
of my love of dolls and now parts of the outfits are missing and the
doll is who knows where.
i changed the style of the astronaut
helmet because the one used for the doll was impractical, frankly all of
the outfit is, but i mainly wanted the part that represented one of my
favourite things then and now to be a little more logical.
i quite enjoyed making this skin, it brought up some nice memories, as an
added bonus, i got to make another astronaut helmet, which are very
entertaining to make in the long run in my opinion.
