First, lets talk about the shading. This shading could use some work, but what am I to judge when I used it in my beginner days. :P Oh, and I nice shading tutorial would be This for the body, and This for hair.
Now the colors, you should mabey get a new less bright pallet. Although, this one is ok. It matters what you Like. Also, I recemend doing a hair in the front to, like 3D hair. Just wondering, what do you use to make skins?

(Shhh.... I don't know exactly how to do the 3D hair thing. Whenever I do them they look terrible like fdjnnbnb.)
I use MCSkin3D LE to skin now, but this one was made with MC SkinEdit.
