Viseryses father, Lord Ossifer Plumm, was a wealthy but aged man when he wed Princess Elaena Targaryen in 176 AC. He is said to have died during the bedding, after seeing his wife naked for the first time. Nevertheless, Elaena did conceive, and Viserys was eventually born. However, rumors later suggested that Lord Ossifer had died before he was able to consummate the marriage, and that Viserys instead had been fathered by King Aegon IV Targaryen.
